The General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) students are given training on various aspects like emergency response, compassion, individual care and many more. General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) students are provided with in-depth training on important aspects such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biology, Microbiology, Behavioural Science, Sociology, Psychology, First Aid and many other subjects.
After completing a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course, there are a variety of paths a graduate can take in order to pursue a career in Nursing. Recruiting organisations include hospitals, nursing homes, NGOs, dispensaries, first-aid clinics, nurse teaching companies, etc..

Shall have passed 2 years Pre University examination conducted by Dept. of pre university education, Karnataka state with English as one of the subjects and physics chemistry and biology as optional subjects. The candidates shall have passed subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually also 40% marks in PCBE.
Students should have 80% attendance each in theory and practical. The student should complete 11 months duration of that particular academic year before appearing for the examination. The principal should certify that the candidate’s performance and conduct are satisfactory. If a student fails in one theory paper or practical examination, she/he may sit for a supplementary examination in the failed subjects or practical held subsequently.
