After completing a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course, there are a variety of paths a graduate can take in order to pursue a career in Nursing. Recruiting organisations include hospitals, nursing homes, NGOs, dispensaries, first-aid clinics, nurse teaching companies, etc..

Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the university for this purpose. Those who have done 10+1 in or before 1986, will be eligible for admission. Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council.
Students should have 80% attendance each in theory and practical. The student should complete 11 months duration of that particular academic year before appearing for the examination. The principal should certify that the candidate’s performance and conduct are satisfactory. If a student fails in one theory paper or practical examination, she/he may sit for a supplementary examination in the failed subjects or practical held subsequently.
